Celebrating the season’s best and welcoming guests with the comforting flavors of the Midwest is Chef Matt’s specialty. Having joined Levy Restaurants in 1999, Matt has since lived in five cities & four states supporting over 30 venues & major events in his tenure.
When not in the kitchen, Matt is incredibly passionate about a sustainable food system and works tirelessly to advocate for responsibly sourced and raised food sources, right down to our own sustainable farm and apiary at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. When he’s not cooking or farming, Matt serves as the Chef Liaison for University Hospitals “Five Star Sensation,” chaired by Wolfgang Puck & Michael Symon as well as donates his time to advise and contribute to many other groups, charities and organizations each year. Matt has been a featured chef in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Nation’s Restaurant News, NBC 5’s Morning Show, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cleveland Magazine, ABC News, Cleveland.com, New York Post, Wall Street Journal to name a few – & was featured in the cookbook In the Kitchen with Cleveland’s Favorite Chef’s, by Maria Isabella.
