Event Source’s 80,000 sq/ft warehouse expansion under construction

Construction of a 80,000 sq/ft warehouse expansion on Towpath Drive in Valley View, Ohio, is in full stride today!  The installation of the exterior walls of the new facility began this Monday and will continue through the end of the week.

The new warehouse will connect to the current 74,000 square foot facility which houses a 3,200 square foot design center (retail showroom), offices for administration, operations for 120 employees,  cleaning equipment, and storage of 850,000 rental items. The space addition will facilitate an increase of staff, continued inventory growth, and general logistic needs including additional truck docks. The addition, as well as renovations of the current facility, are expected to be complete by early fourth quarter, 2017.  The finished building will be over 150,000 square feet.

“As we execute our business growth strategies, we’ve invested in our inventory and our staff,” President of Event Source, John Bibbo, Jr. said. “The additional working space the new building adds will facilitate our business needs — both now and in the future.”

“With the expansion of our warehouse, we will improve work flow inside that will radiate to each of our markets and to every job site,” said Jeremy Halaska, Director of Operations. “Fortune favors the prepared, and we’re fortunate to be able to break ground on this incredible expansion.”

The groundbreaking ceremony, which occurred on October 5, 2016, was attended by staff, management, ownership, construction partners, vendors and family. Following the program, Event Source’s ownership and government dignitaries officially broke ground with oversized forks and spoons, in lieu of traditional shovels, as a nod to the company’s popular rental items. Guests received commemorative fork-and-spoon lapel pins and enjoyed catering by Barrio Tacos food truck.

The program’s participants included Event Source’s President John Bibbo Jr., Director of Operations Jeremy Halaska, and Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, Debbie Halkovics; as well as government officials: Deputy Director of U.S. House of Representative David Joyce’s Twinsburg office, Nick Ciofani; State of Ohio Representative, Marlene Anielski; and Valley View Mayor Jerry Piasecki. Representatives of companies involved with the land purchase and development also attended including: Cavitch Familo & Durkin, Corrigan Krause, CRESCO Real Estate, KeyBank, and Ray Fogg Building Concepts Inc.
