Tell me about your organization?

Lockkeepers is a fine dining restaurant nestled in the Cuyahoga Valley since it’s opening in 1992.  Owned by Frank and Malisse Sinito.  Featuring flavorful Italian cuisine, steaks, and seafood we make the most of special occasions or casual dining.   The Private Dining areas permit parties the same specialties provided in the restaurant.  We can accommodate from 2-180 guests in five different areas of our building.  Our beautiful Ballroom, elegant Sommelier Room which looks into our wine cellar, to our exciting Chef’s Table make any event at Lockkeepers simple special!

 How does being apart of ILEA further your personal growth and business growth?

The best benefit of being an ILEA member is it helps me connect with other event professionals in the Northeast Ohio area.  Starting in the event business in 1986, then taking ten years off and returning helps the new faces look familiar.  ILEA has challenged me to be active outside of the facility and think outside the box to new vendors and how our profession as progressed!

 Who is your dream client?

My dream client (for personal reasons) would be Michael Buble’, a girl can dream!  My dream client are the clients who work with me and by the end of the event feel like family!  Seeing clients outside of our venue and their acknowledging our relationship is special.

 What types of events do you cover?

Lockkeepers Private Dining has many different types of events.  In the corporate sector,  meetings and seminars, training and small trade shows, employee recognition and celebrations, and sales meetings and client appreciation events.  Because of the busy holiday season, we have clients who are foregoing the holiday party and opting for a “Thank You” event near Thanksgiving. We also have social events as weddings, showers, retirement, birthday, anniversary, baptisms, first communion, graduation and family reunions.  Other events include our New Year’s Eve Wine Tasting dinner, our Bridal Showcase, high school reunions and currently working on a Murder Mystery event.

 If you weren’t in the special events industry where do you think you would be?

If I weren’t in the special events industry I would return to being a  corporate charter flight attendant again.  I loved that job.  I flew for ten years and had opportunities to fly with Senator Obama, heads of state USA and Pakistan, the bands Cold Play, Maroon 5, Carrie Underwood and Tommy Lee.  Minor league baseball, NCAA Basketball teams and NASCAR as well as many interesting individuals needing private transportation.  The places I have had an opportunity to travel and people I met…if I could I would.  I also always wanted to be a backup singer!  As you can see I like fun and adventure!

 What’s the most fun special event you’ve worked on?

When I had my own catering company I had the opportunity to work for the Drew Carey show.  He was coming to Cleveland for a contest presentation and they had their press release party at our facility.  Funny thing, I went to school with Drew and when he found out I was his caterer, it was like old times!  Great Fun!

 Why did you join ILEA?

I joined because I believed the people I knew in it were benefiting from it.  It works to have people who think like you, work with you!
