Bella Faccia Painting LLC

Tell me about your organization?
I am a face and body painter for corporate and private special events.  I specialize in providing artistic entertainment across all ages that will help to make an event more memorable.  Artistic entertainment could be face painting, fantasy makeup for a costume party, airbrush/glitter/ henna tattoos, or body painted models to attract guests to a photo op or a trade show booth.  Passive clients and guests become active storytellers on social media and beyond. What better way to turn an event into a “brand-defining content machine” than to have face and body art that is photographed, captioned, and repeatedly shared across social media platforms?  Plus, it is just fun, and will make any event more festive!
What has been the best benefit of being an ILEA member?
As a new resident of the west side, I was able to learn Cleveland venues, styles and event opportunities much quicker than if I had been on my own, or had networked through a more “generic” business group. I have links now to my industry, to like-minded business people, and referral sources for my work.  Plus I have met some ideal clients and had DREAM gigs that I would not have had without the ILEA connection.
How does being part of ILEA further your personal and business growth?
Certainly from a business perspective, I can proudly state that my best gigs were brought to me from ILEA members!  Although I think fantasy face painting is for EVERYONE, I try to be realistic and the ILEA relationship helps to put me in touch with the right people.  People who I can help grow their business or their client relationships by creating a memorable special event.  I have also learned from the Day of Education, and the panel presentations about how to put my best first impression forward, ask for the work, and stay in touch.  I’ve learned what works in Cleveland and what doesn’t; who is busy and who is not.  Even more basic, I have learned who is who and what do they do.
Personally, being on the membership committee has helped me to be involved and active in a community I enjoy.  Every member can help to contribute to the success of the organization, which benefits all of ILEA, and the special event industry in Cleveland.
Who is your dream client?
We are looking for a discriminating client who appreciates quality entertainment and who would welcome the very best in customer service.  Our clients expect their events to run smoothly and we can certainly contribute to the accomplishment of that goal.  We are able to work without supervision, but if you want to be hands-on with every detail, that is okay too, as long we help you enjoy your time with your guests once your event starts.  Our perfect client wants that WOW factor:  the best artistry from a skilled, professional, thoughtful performer who makes it fun for all ages to participate.
What types of events do you cover?
Post prom lock-ins and teen nights
Bar and Bat Mitzvahs
Grand openings of businesses
Anniversary parties
Customer/Employee appreciation days
Children’s parties and family reunions
School/church/college events
Tailgate parties and other sporting events
Theatrical productions and movie premiers
Fairs and festivals
Fund raisers
Trade shows
What’s the most fun event you’ve worked on?
That’s easy, and it came to me because I was recommended by an ILEA member, to another ILEA member who was looking for a face painter for the Grand Opening of a wildlife gallery at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.  I did a site visit and took photographs of all the animals represented in the gallery.  Then I created face designs for each of them, and did a photo shoot with child models, to create a menu board.  We added a dinosaur for the boys…and a butterfly for those who didn’t want to be an animal.  The guests were “made up” as the animal of their choice, and then went outside and had their picture taken with their TWIN.
Being able to do the research, design my own menu, paint to a theme and help to educate the guests about their chosen “wildlife” made my heart sing!  So many compliments from the guests and the staff!
I love my job!!!
Why did you join ILEA?
I had been a member in both the Manhattan/NYC ISES and the northern NJ chapter.  In December of 2015, I transferred my membership to the Cleveland Chapter because of the warm welcome I received at that first meeting.   My goal was to meet new friends, learn about the area, grow my business and transition my party entertainment company headquarters to Cleveland, from NJ, my previous location.  ALL have been achieved! Thank you ILEA!
