Our team is lead by a Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) who values the 4-phases
of the event planning process as recognized by the International Live Events Association (ILEA).
Our approach to event planning is based on this model; we call it the Operations Matrix.

Operation Matrix = Client Care + Project Management + Solution Fulfillment

Every member of the Palmer Event Solutions team has an area of specialty (or four) where we
add our voice and expertise to the Operations Matrix; we are all Event Specialists.

We work in a collaborative fashion with our colleagues and our clients. Many clients are non-profits
with long-range strategic goals for their annual and milestone events; we are all Project Planners.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Palmer Event Solutions is a small but growing company looking for an experienced event planner
ready to hit the ground planning – with leadership skills that will fuel our progress as we expand the
company and the team. The main focus of this new position will be Client & Guest Services.

As an Event Specialist, the ideal person will embrace and add value to areas such as:
catering curation, design of arrival / exit impressions, guest messaging, and more.

As a Project Planner, you can count on daily interactions with our portfolio of amazing clients
plus detailed tracking of event plans and solutions in a collaborative software platform.

TASK YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Help Good People Plan Great Events – This is always our #1 job!

  • Provide Concierge Level Client Care

  • Create, Manage and Adhere to Planning Timelines

  • Cultivate Relationships with Clients, Venues and Vendors

  • Support CEO in Formalizing Event Planning Process – Geared Toward Replication by Future Event Project Managers – then Lead ‘Project Management’ within Operations Matrix

  • Curate the Guest Experience

  • Develop & Implement Guest Satisfaction Surveys

  • Maintain Data in the company CRM

  • Attend Live Events

SKILLS YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Minimum 2-Years of Event Planning Experience

  • Working Knowledge of “Office” Software – Word, Excel, Power Point (or the MAC alternatives – Pages, Numbers, Keynote and ability to translate files between)

  • Exceptional Communication Skills – including Creative Writing

  • Ability to Work in a Flex or Open Environment (with some remote working opportunities)

  • BONUS POINTS: Social Media and/or Graphic Design
