ADA & Events: More than an Access Ramp
October 9 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
More Than An Access Ramp
Tuesday, October 9th
11:30am – 1:30pm
The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland Hotel
Live events celebrate and support a sense of community, and should encourage participation by all people. “People with disabilities have the same hopes and dreams as people without disabilities. They want to access their communities and attend events with friends and families.” This quote, which leads chapter one of the 58-page Planning Guide for Making Temporary Events Accessible to People with Disabilities published by the ADA National Network, captures the essence of ILEA Cleveland’s next event.
ADA & Events: More Than Just an Access Ramp will reach beyond the general requirements of the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) as we ask and answer questions such as:
- How can you help your clients make their events more accessible – whether you’re the venue, caterer, planner or any other member of the team?
- How do we share that accommodations are in place and better communicate with guests throughout the life-cycle of the event?
- What can we, as event professionals, do to make events that are not just accessible – but more engaging for all who attend?
Join us for lunch with a guest panel of experts as we discuss this often over looked piece of the event planning puzzle.
