Alascia is currently a Venue Coordinator at the Mentor, Ohio location of NOAH’S Event Venue, a national chain of special event spaces for all of life’s events. Day in and day out Alascia is afforded the opportunity to plan and execute some of the most important days in people’s lives. She never takes this lightly and is continuously thankful for the chance to pursue her purpose as a special event professional.
Kristy is the Sales and Special Events Manager at Great Lakes Science Center. She has more than 12 years of experience in catering and event planning in the Cleveland area. Making each event unique to her clients is what she loves best about planning events. Kristy, an Old Brooklyn neighborhood resident, enjoys exploring the fine city of Cleveland, its culinary scene and finds happiness in her weekly Spin class!
Deborah is a life-long Pittsburgher and now part-time Clevelander! She began her career in special events even before she attended Duquesne University. Learning early on at the hand of her mother, who was the Director of Special Events at Duquesne, public relations and special events seemed to be in her blood. In a career that has spanned more than 30 years, her professional experience has included working in advertising and public relations, representing three major motion picture companies in the Pittsburgh market; WDUQ-FM (NPR affiliate); WQED-TV (PBS affiliate) in public relations for national programs; and serving as the Executive Director of a non-profit performance group.
Melanie is an Event Manager at the Westin Cleveland Downtown, specializing in weddings and galas. Melanie has over 8 years of experience in social event planning for hotels and country clubs through the northeast Ohio area. Melanie has served on the Programs & Education committee for the past two years. Residing on the east side, Melanie loves to try new restaurants in Cleveland, see theatre, and attend Cleveland sporting events.
William Zavesky, is a 19 year veteran of the food and beverage industry, starting at the age of 14 washing dishes, where he worked his way up to server, bartender, growing in to a manager. He has worked both on site and off site events, in various locations. Currently he works as an event manager, at the Tudor Arms, in Cleveland, Ohio. As the event manager, he is in charge of day to day operations, event coordination and planning. He strives to have his events be perfect, and works with his clients to make that happen.
Vicki has been with Marigold Catering for 4 years now. She started as an event planner and was promoted to Director of Sales two years ago.
She has been in the industry for over 15 years. She has been an active member of ILEA during her tenure at Marigold, however, this is her first full year as a committee member. She has a huge passion for food and planning all types of events. In her free time, she loves to try new restaurants and attend Cleveland sporting events with her family. She has a 10 yr old daughter, Ayva, and 4 year old son, Holden.
Lindsey is an Event Rental Specialist at Event Source. She has worked in several roles within the hospitality field which makes her well rounded when it comes to her customers event rental needs. Lindsey loves to travel and experience new food and cultures when she can! In her spare time, she helps her parents run their restaurant Sunny Street Café located in Concord, OH.
Sabrina Gorbett is a caterer turned event planner with experience ranging from small dinner parties to large Indian Weddings. Wife of Ryan and mother of Will, Sabrina knows that life is a collection of journeys and looks forward to where the ILEA path will lead.
